This is an excellent rod that will get you going in bamboo! Throws a 5 weight line with authority and a crisp medium fast action. I cast it with a Cortland 444 WF 5 F line and a DT5 Cortland Sylk line and was laying out casts across my yard. Very nicely appointed rod with a medium flame color bamboo and attractive wraps and guides.
