JR Morgan Bamboo Fly Rod. Color: Blonde, two tone Green wraps. Ferrules: Super Swiss, Ferrule 1 is 12/64. Origin: Walnut Creek, CA United States. This is the Emerald Creek 7040 Model with blonde cane, a beautiful dyed Burl reel seat, dark blued ferrules and black hardware.

Anyone who owns one knows the superb quality of these rods. They turn over 30 ft.

Of line without effort and this rod has handled fish up to 16 with zero problems. There is one corrected issue that needs to be mentioned. 2 was Professionally scarfed after a mishap. It fishes like new without issue to the action but I would be remiss if I didnt address the issue. Otherwise this rod is in great shape.

The ferrule slides on all my rods get a light buff and the female ferrule gets cleaned with alcohol. The bamboo is waxed and buffed as well. PLEASE NOTE: The Rod Tube is NOT original.

The rod does however fit nicely and comes from an old Cortland Graphite Rod that met its untimely demise under a vehicle trunk lid. Morgan rods NEVER came with a tube.
