Winston BIIX Boron spey rod in 7 wt 11 foot length. Anyone who has ever fished these older BIIX rods remember the responsive, softer action -- at a time all the world was on fire for the Sage super-duper fast action. It's accurate and can handle 15 lb Atlantic Salmon.
I have one and have fished it everywhere from the Atlantic to light steelhead water in WA and BC. This is a great rod, one of a kind NEW condition. I'll vouch for its newness. This is my fishing wannabe bro's who copy-catted me.Then stayed home and watched videos. The Speypages online page'Anyone Fish the Winston 11' 7wt BIIX? This is my go to rod for atlantic salmon fishing on the Miramichi. All seem to agree the line designation (meant for single handed lines) doesn't really fit, and seem to nail this somewhere between 5-6. With all the talk about this rod being equivalent to a 5/6 switch, people should not loose sight of the fact it will efficiently subdue strong fish.
The largest I have caught to date is a fresh 15 lb. Atlantic salmon, which I was able to land in no more time than I could have using and 8 or 9-weight single-hander. Anyway, Winston know longer makes a comparable 11 ft spey rod with this action. It seems to fall between the Air TH and the Microspey.
BUT none of those has the incredible BIIX action. Weight is 4 3/4 oz. This item is in the category "Sporting Goods\Fishing\Rods & Poles". The seller is "wsly" and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States, all countries in Europe, Japan.
