Three things to note: the original owners name Corey B Franklin is inscribed on the rod. Never bothered me and certainly never affected the casting or the fishing! Also, the butt to midsection ferrule meeting has little space left, about a quarter of an inch. The top two sections have more gap in the ferrule connection. Again, the rod casts beautifully, and the sections fit together and stay together just fine, just something to be aware of.

Lastly, the former owner also added small white alignment dots at the rod ferrule meeting sections. Otherwise, a wonderful example of one of Winstons most famous rods. You will be pleased with this rod. One last thing, the Winston cloth bag does show slight yellowing and wear, but still functions just fine.
